I’ve been having trouble maintaining my weight and having HUGELY not cool anger problems thanks to my tri-monthly depo provera shot, so I’m switching it up and going with this thing called “Implanon”.
Basically, it’s this plastic bar about as long as your thumb from your first knuckle to the tip of your nail and about as wide as a matchstick. They numb your upper arm (on the side closest to your ribs) with a bunch of local anesthetics and then they inject the bar in between the bottom of your epidermis (skin) and the top of the fat in your arm. It’s good for 3 years and is estrogen-free and weight-neutral. We’ll see how it goes.
